I
enjoy literature from diverse ethnic and cultural traditions.
The continual study of Latin-American Spanish is a (frustrating)
hobby, and I long to return to Latin America and Cuba in
the future. Once a practicing musician, music remains a
true love, from the Beatles to Bach to U2 to Andrea Bocelli.
I am a published art photographer, having exhibited in
Madison (Wisconsin), Berkeley (California), and at Union
Theological Seminary in New York City. I scuba dive and
in-line skate, when weather permits.

“God’s
call is to exude compassion, lavish generosity,
forgive and be forgiven, and love God’s people.”

“Having
served in parish ministry, my passion remains
with the life work of parish pastors and, equally,
with
the ministry and lives of ‘the laity.’ My commitment in theological education centers
on preparing students
for a life of faith and ministry in a variable,
adverse Church and world. The arts and the practice
of imagination with faithful theological analysis
fund this commitment in my ministry, teaching,
and spiritual life.”
