United has a longstanding relationship with the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota to provide a supportive environment for Episcopal students preparing for lay and ordained ministries in the Church. Marilyn Salmon, professor of New Testament theology, is an Episcopal priest and serves as academic advisor for Episcopal students. In that role, she helps coordinate diocesan requirements with the degree requirements at United. Episcopal students seeking an M.Div. degree typically complete the equivalent of two years of study at United and one year at an Episcopal seminary. Episcopal clergy mentor students in internship placements at selected Episcopal churches.
Episcopal students share in the leadership of community worship which is offered twice each week in the Bigelow Chapel.
Episcopal graduates of United serve the Church in a wide range of ministries in the Diocese of Minnesota and throughout the country.
All
students at United have access to the seminary’s
generous program of financial
aid.
