Bigelow Chapel
United
Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities welcomes you to
the Bigelow Chapel. The
chapel is a religious building offering both the seminary
community and the wider community an exciting
statement of
God’s presence and mystery in the world. As an ecumenical
seminary of the United Church of Christ, the Bigelow Chapel
is our front door
to the community, and we welcome people
of
all faiths and walks of life.
With award-winning
architectural design by Joan Soranno and
John Cook of Hammel,
Green and Abrahamson, Inc. and construction by M.A. Mortenson
Company, the design-build team constructed an innovative structure
of floating planes of glass, pre-cast stone walls, and a series
of translucent curving wood panels that cast a warm glow in
the chapel and provide a tranquil environment for worship and
prayer. Exterior twin towers house a set of pealing chimes.
Architectural
Tours

guides are available to give private architectural tours of
the Bigelow Chapel to interested groups. We encourage both
