United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities uses Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and YouTube to help alums, students, donors, employees, friends, and fans connect and keep up-to-date on what’s happening at the seminary.
What is Facebook?
Facebook is a free social networking Web site on the Internet. Facebook members can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region to connect and interact with others. In particular, members can add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves.
What is Twitter?
Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging Web site that allows users to send and read other users’ updates (tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. Updates are displayed on the user’s profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them.
What is MySpace?
MySpace is a free social networking Web site. MySpace allows users to interact by utilizing a system of adding friends to your network, the ability to customize your profile, writing blog entries, joining groups, and entering discussions.
What is YouTube?
YouTube is a video-sharing Web site where users can upload and share videos. Unregistered users can watch the videos; registered users can upload an unlimited number of videos.
