Distinguished Alum Award

The Alum Council of United Theological
Seminary announces the recipients of this year’s Distinguished Alum Award: Susan K. Ebbers ’78 and Rick Yramategui ’87.

This is always a difficult task for the council because all of the people submitted are worthy of this honor. Although the council usually selects one person, this year they decided to select two alums.

Sue Ebbers is the director of the Spencer Library and professor of theological bibliography at United, and Rick Yramategui is a musician and pastor of Carmel Valley Community Chapel in Carmel Valley, Calif. Sue and Rick reflect different forms of ministry, however each has had their own extraordinary impact on the church.
